Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data & Local Storage
Navio is built with a privacy-first approach. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal files, folder lists, directories, or storage statistics to our own servers or any third parties. All file operations (copying, moving, renaming, deleting) and storage analysis are performed entirely locally on your Device.
Remote Connection Credentials
The Application allows you to connect to remote servers via SFTP (SSH) and SMB/CIFS (Windows Share). To establish these connections, you may provide connection details such as server addresses, ports, usernames, passwords, or SSH private keys. To ensure your security, these sensitive credentials are stored locally on your Device using Jetpack Security's EncryptedSharedPreferences. We do not have access to your server credentials, and they are never shared with Us or any third parties.
Device Permissions
To perform its core functions as a file manager, the Application requests the following permissions on your Device:
- MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To browse files, perform file operations, and analyze space utilization on your device's internal storage.
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To connect to your configured remote SFTP/SMB servers, load advertisement content, and report stability telemetry.
Third-Party Services
To support development and monitor stability, the Application integrates the following third-party services:
- Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob): Used to deliver advertisements in the application. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location data, and advertising interaction data to personalize or optimize ads. You can manage ad personalization settings within your Google Account settings.
- Bugsnag SDK: Used to monitor application crashes and performance issues. When a crash occurs, Bugsnag collects diagnostic information such as device model, OS version, stack trace, and navigation breadcrumbs. This telemetry is anonymous and does not include your personal files, filenames, or server credentials.
Use of Your Personal Data
The Company does not collect or use Personal Data.
Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company does not retain any Personal Data as We do not operate servers that store Your data. Your files, connection profiles, server credentials, and storage analysis remain strictly on Your Device until You choose to modify or delete them.
Data Transfer and Sharing
Your data is not transferred to or shared with the Company or any third parties, except for diagnostic telemetry reports sent to Bugsnag for app stability and standard advertising requests processed by Google AdMob. All remote server interactions occur directly between Your Device and the SFTP or SMB servers You configure.
Security of Your Data
The security of Your data is important to Us. Your credentials, local connection configurations, and files are stored securely on Your Device. Sensitive credentials are encrypted before storage. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
